Meeting with Reps Michaud and Pingree
Maine Moms had a wonderful meeting with Representatives Michaud's and Pingree's staff. Rep. Pingree's staffers reiterated her strong commitment and leadership on this issue. Rep. Michaud's staffer shared the Congressman's strong support for protecting workers from toxic chemicals. We left the meeting feeling that we have both Representatives' support for this issue when a bill comes to the House.

"Senator Collins, will you support the Safe Chemicals Act?" While in DC, Maine moms met with Senator Susan Collins to ask for her support. It is time to fix our broken chemical safety laws.
Inspiring and Hopeful
Maine moms on the evening of May 22 heading to the offices of Senators Snowe and Collins. The meeting with Sen. Snowe was described as "inspiring and hopeful."
